Commonly Asked Questions About Walk and Talk Psychotherapy
What happens if it’s raining?
1
You always have the option to switch your walk-and-talk session to an in-person or virtual appointment if it's raining. The choice is yours! However, if there is thunder or severe weather, I will ask that we transition to a virtual or in-office session or reschedule for a nicer day. Your safety is always the priority!
Do we have to walk the entire time or can we stop and sit?
2
We can totally stop and sit! Just let me know when!
What happens if someone recognizes me?
3
Because walk-and-talk sessions take place in public spaces, there is always a possibility that you may run into someone you know. Your privacy and confidentiality remain a priority. If we happen to see someone you know, I will not approach or acknowledge them in a way that identifies you as my client. We can simply continue walking, change our route, or pause if needed.

Can I bring my dog for our walk?
4
What if I have to use the washroom during my session?
Yes! I would love to meet your furry friend!
Unfortunately, washroom access is limited during a walk and talk session! During the warmer months, there is a public washroom connected to the parking lot in Jackson’s park and on Grand Road. However, during the colder months, these washrooms close! I ask that you please use the washroom before or after your session.
