Child-Centered Play Therapy

Supporting your child’s emotional growth through play.

At Sapphire Psychotherapy and Counselling, we provide child-centred, play-based psychotherapy for children ages 3-10.

Child-centered play therapy is grounded in the idea that children are able to grow in healthy, positive ways when they feel safe, accepted, and cared for. In this approach, the therapist creates a supportive space where a child can express themselves freely through play, while following their lead and pace. Within this environment, children are given the opportunity to work through their experiences, build insight, and navigate the challenges they’re facing in a way that feels natural to them.
